Junior E&I Engineer

From idea to working installation

As a Junior E&I Engineer at Iv, you will work on projects that help the Netherlands move forward in the energy transition. You will help new and existing customers turn their installations into reality. What starts as a concept will grow into a working installation thanks to your engineering skills.

Example projects include supporting the replacement of a process installation for the customer, mapping all electrical consumers, and developing proposals for modifying the existing electrical installation. You will also design 16kV power distribution networks for new consumers. You create single-line diagrams and take into account scenarios such as generator power generation, battery storage, and different operating conditions. In this way, you ensure that installations function safely and reliably under all circumstances.

In addition, you will help draw up and manage IO lists and instrument lists. You will coordinate your designs with fellow engineers and other disciplines to ensure that everything fits together perfectly. You will be involved from the concept phase to the detailed design and will see how your contribution is actually implemented.

You will be part of an experienced E&I team in Arnhem consisting of 11 colleagues with various specialisations within electrical engineering. We enjoy complex technical challenges, but as a team we remain down-to-earth and pragmatic. You will receive excellent guidance, learn quickly, and be given the opportunity to take control of your own development step by step.

What do we expect from you?

• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• You are a starter or junior engineer

• Affinity with industry, the energy transition and CO₂ capture

• Basic knowledge of electrical schematics, cable calculations and E&I documentation

• Interest in single line diagrams, IO lists and instrumentation

• A structured way of working and a strong eagerness to learn
